Privacy & cookies

We collect as little as possible. Here’s exactly what and why.

Your votes

Votes are anonymous. To group results by country we look up your country from your IP address at the moment you vote. We store only the country code, never the IP address.

Cookies

  • voter_token — a random identifier that stops the same device from voting twice. It does not identify you.
  • Session — keeps you logged in, only if you have an account.
  • Theme — whether you chose light or dark mode, stored in your browser.
  • locale — the language you chose for the site, for one year.

We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your account

If you sign up we store your email, a hashed password and a username. We create a random username for you, and you can change it anytime. Only your username appears next to the polls you propose; your email is never shown publicly.

Sponsor inquiries

If you use the form on the sponsors page, we store your name, email, company, website and message only to reply to you. We delete them when the conversation is over, or earlier if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time from your profile or by contacting us.
