About these terms
uxpoll.com is run by David Rodriguez, an individual based in Spain. These terms apply to everyone who uses the site. If you have a question about them, write to privacy@uxpoll.com.
By using uxpoll.com you accept these terms. When you create an account (with a password, Google or GitHub) you accept them expressly. How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy policy and the Cookie policy.
What uxpoll.com is
uxpoll.com is a free site where anyone can vote in quick polls about user experience (UX) and see how the answers change from one country to another. Registered users can propose new polls.
Results are for information and curiosity. They aren’t a scientific or representative study, and you shouldn’t make important decisions based only on them.
Your account
You don’t need an account to vote. To create one you must be at least 14 years old.
Use a real email address that you can access, and keep your password and the Google or GitHub account you sign in with safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else is using it, change your password or write to us.
If you sign in with Google or GitHub, their own terms also apply to your account with them. If your verified email there matches an existing account on uxpoll.com, we connect them.
You can delete your account at any time in Account settings.
Voting
Voting is anonymous and doesn’t need an account. You can vote once per poll from each device.
Don’t try to alter the results: no bots or scripts, no mass voting, and no clearing cookies or switching networks to vote again. We may discard votes that look manipulated and block the networks they come from.
Proposing polls
You are responsible for the polls you propose (question, description and answers). Only propose polls about user experience, written by you or that you have the right to use.
Polls can’t include illegal, offensive, discriminatory or violent content, advertising or spam, personal data of other people, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.
Every poll is reviewed before it’s published. We may reject any proposal, and correct, categorise, translate, close or remove any poll, at any time and without having to give a reason.
By proposing a poll you allow uxpoll.com, for free, worldwide and for as long as the site exists, to publish it, translate it, adapt it and show it with its results, including in reports and images to share. If you delete your account, your published polls stay on the site as “anonymous”; if you want one removed, write to privacy@uxpoll.com.
Results and the site’s content
The design, code, texts and logo of the site belong to its owner. You may not copy them or use them for other projects without permission.
You can share and quote the results of any poll, as long as you cite uxpoll.com as the source, ideally with a link. Please don’t download the site in bulk with automated tools.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the site to break the law, don’t try to access other people’s accounts or data, get around the limits or protections of the site, overload it or interfere with how it works, and don’t impersonate other people.
Sponsors
The logos of our sponsors that appear on the site are advertising. Sponsorships are agreed separately with each sponsor. We aren’t responsible for the content of sponsors’ sites or other sites we link to.
Availability and changes to the service
The site is free and offered as it is. We do our best to keep it working, but it may stop working for a while, and we may change, add or remove features, or close the site, at any time.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect damages, for decisions made based on the results, for interruptions of the service, or for third-party sites.
Nothing in these terms limits a liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Suspension of accounts
If someone breaks these terms we may remove their content and suspend or delete their account. When it’s reasonable, we’ll tell them first by email. You can stop using the site whenever you want.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we’ll tell people with an account by email before it applies. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new terms.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be handled by the courts that the law assigns; if you are a consumer, those of the place where you live.
